Writing to us

The form on this page is the way in. It goes to the people who deal with these applications, and starting in writing genuinely works better than starting on a call — a paragraph describing your situation gives a far more useful first answer than twenty minutes of questions.

Replies go out in the order enquiries arrive. Where something is time-critical, such as a document about to expire or an agent waiting on a decision, put that in the opening line.

Worth telling us at the outset

An enquiry that answers these gets a substantive reply rather than a request for more information:

  • Which nationality or nationalities you hold, and where you are currently resident.
  • Whether the application would cover you alone or a family, and the ages of any children — the contribution tier is set by that.
  • Every country you have spent six months or more in over the past decade. Each generally means another police clearance certificate, and they set the calendar.
  • How the funds were accumulated, and what documentation exists to show it. This decides more applications than any other single factor.
  • Anything adverse in your history: a conviction however minor or old, a refused visa, an investigation, a prior application to another programme. Due diligence finds these. Disclosed early they are usually manageable.

What should never go in the form

Scans of passports, bank statements, card numbers and account credentials. None of these are needed to answer an enquiry, and a web form is the wrong place for any of them. When documents become relevant, they are collected through a channel suited to them.

Confidentiality

What you send is treated as confidential and used solely to answer you. It is not sold, shared with advertisers or passed on for marketing purposes. The privacy policy sets out retention and how to have material erased.

Submissions are filtered for automated abuse before they reach us, and the filter is occasionally wrong about a real enquiry. No reply within a few working days is worth a second attempt, worded differently.

Answers that already exist

A good share of enquiries ask questions these pages already answer at greater length than an email allows: who qualifies, what the document pack contains, what the whole thing costs and how long each stage really takes.

One answer we will not give, by email or otherwise, is an assurance that an application will succeed. That decision belongs to the Vanuatu Citizenship Commission, and anyone offering you a guarantee is offering something outside their power.
